Basic Attention Token is coming to YouTube!

With the arrival of version 0.19, Brave developers recently announced the addition of YouTube to their Brave Payment system. Brave is a web browser facilitating and encouraging donations to creators on the internet via its "Basic Attention Tokens"
Brave: privacy and speed
At the origin of this project is Brendan Eich, the co-founder of Mozilla and creator of JavaScript. One of Brave's main goals is to protect the privacy of its users. This web browser allows a faster connection than most others, in particular because it blocks by default all ads consuming a lot of data (pop-ups, malware etc ...). These often unwanted ads are being replaced by others, more privacy-friendly, and optional.
The first fundraiser to fund this browser was held in August 2016, and raised approximately $ 7 million. The following year, in May, Brave launched an ICO to fund the arrival of his token: Basic Attention Token. ICO had a great success, raising $ 35 million in just 30 seconds.

BAT on YouTube
Based on Ethereum technology, BAT is a means of payment between advertisers, users, creators and advertisers. The BATs are designed to encourage and facilitate donations to creators / websites that users deem worthy. Integrated with the Brave browser, their attribution works as follows:
A user chooses to see advertisements. This user, as well as the editors of the page that he consults, are thus remunerated in BAT. Starting from there, the user can choose to keep his BAT to buy products, or use the Brave features to easily give to the creators.
An eagerly awaited update extends this system - Brave Payment - to the YouTube platform. Thus, it will be possible to offer donations quickly to your favorite YouTubers, subject to their use of Brave Payment.
This system could be a real revolution in the creative world on the internet. As the audience becomes a source of revenue, it will no longer be a question of satisfying an advertiser, but an audience. This distinction could increase the quality content found on the web.
