NEO, the new cryptocurrency enters the Top 10

Neo, formerly Antshares, is now listed in the top 10 digital currencies. The virtual currency has recorded a 25.84% increase in its price over the weekend allowing it to be placed next to the most famous cryptocurrency.

Performance of other digital currencies

NEO's price increases come as Bitcoin Cash is slowly declining in price. However, Bitcoin Cash remains the fourth virtual currency in terms of market capitalization.

Meanwhile, Ethereum has posted a nice increase in its price (260 Euros at the moment) after suffering setbacks in recent weeks. In the past, Ethereum has experienced issues such as ICO hacks and network issues that have resulted in lower prices.

Several currencies were able to maintain their prices during the weekend. Among them, Ethereum Classic, Dash, NEM and Litecoin

Can NEO become the Ethereum of China?

The NEO push augurs a bright future for its ambition to become the Ethereum of China. NEO has recently gained notoriety because of its collaboration with Chinese certification authorities to map real assets using its smart contract technology. NEO has also signed partnership agreements with several startups.

It remains to be seen if NEO can maintain its position in the top 10 because of these developments and perhaps others, or if it will slip back into this list, as many have done before.
