Reddit attacked by pro Bitcoin Cash bots

FUD-pro-Bitcoin-Cash-sur-Reddit.jpg

r / Bitcoin is one of the most active communities in the crypto universe. Like any community on the internet, it is rarely the consensus that dominates it. However, the debates took a sinister turn recently, and it seems that some ill-intentioned individuals do not engage in manipulation of information.
r / bitcoin attacked
On Reddit, a moderator has the power to delete or modify posts, or to ban a user who does not respect their rules of use. Nothing new, but what happens when some moderator accounts are compromised for questionable purposes?
This is the question recently asked / r / bitcoin, while a bot responsible for spotting attempts to censor is more and more regularly offenses on the forum. Indeed, many post were manipulated to push the purchase of Bitcoin Cash. Apparently, some moderator accounts were hacked, and bots automatically upvoted or downvoted many posts.
It would seem that some questions are not acceptable, and these questions revolve around Bitcoin Cash.
A moderator involved?
It all started when the bot found that threads with the words "censored" and "censored" were automatically removed. Shortly after, the team in charge realized that the bots seemed to push people to buy Bitcoin Cash, with a rather heavy emphasis. It did not go unnoticed, and even the supporters of Bitcoin Cash found the dubious maneuver.
"I appreciate BCH, but do we really need a post like that? SpiderImAlright, Reddit
In a long post, the team in charge of the censorship_notifier shared the whole attack and its organization.
"The bots that were commenting and posting on / r / Bitcoin and upvoting posts on / r / btc started their attack on 14/11/2017 around 18:00.UTC. [...] The bots seemed to push people to buy Bitcoin Cash so blatantly that even Bitcoin Cash fans had an unpleasant aftertaste. [...] We've identified 35 users, but the largest number of corrupt votes on one thing is between 250 and 300 accounts involved in the attack. "
At the end of this long post, the team said it was more than likely that at least one of the r / Bitcoin moderators was aware of this manipulation, or even at the origin. They invited the whole of Reddit to take drastic measures if that proved true.
Whether you are pro-Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, SegWit or not, this is another debate. But we consider essential the right to all opinions to express themselves, and to be heard by the public without any attempt of restriction. Such a practice is very unfortunate, and could increase the mistrust of users towards Bitcoin Cash, while we imagine that the opposite effect was expected.

Bitcoin: a mysterious Chinese mining pool appears after the halving…

The occurrence  of Bitcoin halving  was the big topic of conversation this week in the cryptosphere.  While one could expect this division by two of the mining awards of BTC to make miners reluctant, it appears on the contrary that a new  mining  pool  has chosen this timing to reveal itself! A mysterious pool called "Lubian.com" According to statistics from  BTC.com  , a new  Bitcoin  mining pool  has  risen to 6th place  in the BTC network's  hashrate  (its computing power). Spotted and listed only since May 12, the  Lubian.com  pool  -  obviously of  Chinese origin  according to its site  - would have started production  just two weeks before the halving  , by mining a first block on  April 27  (the block N ° 627 441 to be precise). As we can see below, this pool contributed  6% of the  total  hashrate  of consensus by Proof...
